How To Make Your Own Picture Look Ugly?

How to make a picture look professionally taken?

  • I have this picture I want to edit to make it look like it was professionally taken and edited, etc. I was wondering if there was a site I could upload the photo to so I can edit it there and make it look professional. I really want the photo to be a professional looking black & white, and have the capability to make my skin look clear in it. Is there a site that is for free that I could do this on? Please, don't say Picnik.com in the answers because I already have an account, and this is not what I am looking for!! Thanks.

  • Answer:

The difference between amateur and professional is knowledge and skill, not editing.

Sorry to say that the professional look of a photograph begins before the shutter is released. The photographer brings to bear his or her experience in camera settings, lighting, exposure, focus, and composition in taking the shot. These make it look professional from the get go. You can't take a flawed shot and make it look professional with any kind of post processing software.

Write on the back of the photograph in big bold letters: "This photograph was taken by a professional."

I agree with what others are saying. Its not about the editing software you are using its about the knowledge you have of the camera and photography. Try reading some books about photography, I have this really good one "The Complete Photographer" by Tom Ang and it has some really good info. http://samrphotography.blogspot.com

Download Gimp.

I found Google Picassa helpful for simple edits to photos. There are intutive, easy to learn and use tools to save as black and white and also fix the contrast and clarity of your photo, or add other effects. Of course such fixes are within limits. Nothing replaces a good camera and a good eye. You could of course also download and use a trial of Adobe Photoshop for this purpose, which is what many pros use. However the learning curve for this is quite high, as it is for free open source software such as Gimp.

honestly pinick is on of the best free sites available for editing...have u thought of going premium on that account it offers alot more options that may be helpful. You could also try downloading a free trial version of photoshop and trying that out.

u dont have to use websites or programmers, if u have the eye for the businness thatn ull take pro shots. if u dont than maybe take a course or two in it to learn how to make good shots. get a better camera.
