Why do you have to put the holga 35mm back on instead?

Holga Frame Mask and Film Question?

  • Help! I just got a Holga camera recently, but it seems that i forgot to put in the frame masks. Does this mean that the 120 film roll is unsalvagable? Also if you send in to get it developed, do they also create prints like many cheap labs do for 35mm prints? Thanks!

  • Answer:

It's possible you'll get some weird overlapping or other funky effects, but otherwise there's not going to be any serious damage - as long as you were able to wind the roll through the camera, it should be OK. And if something odd happened, well, hey - it is a Holga, after all. And yes, unless you asked the lab to just process the film, you will get prints back after the roll has been developed.
