How do I put two pictures together vertically?

How do i put two pictures together so that they're side by side.?

• READ BEFORE ANSWERING do not waste my time telling me to download a program, because i wont. and i cannot do paint or powerpoint because those programs of mine dont work. now what should i do? of you tell me microsoft word or photobucket, please tell me a STEP BY STEP process because ive read other people's responses about those two and the steps are soooo confusing. help!!!

  i can only assume you know how to use word, and you are using the 2008 version of it... ok in word open a blank document. then click insert-picture. in the picture toolbar, find the section that said has the position button in it. there are 3 buttons next to it that say bring to front, send to back, and one that may or may not say text wrapping. click on the 3rd button, and choose the option tight. repeat for the second picture. now just drag your pictures next to eachother.
