Going to Maryland, camping on the beach and bringing a dslr. what do i need?

Well, an obvious solution would be the good old plastic bag - although it is not idea you could buy a large clear plastic bag and secure the camera inside (so that you can still use all the buttons etc) and cut a hole for the lens to stick out?! I no this is not ideal, but short of buying an expensive case this is about all I came up with. I would recommend researching this a little bit more - it could possibly damage your camera. Hopefully this helps - I live by the sea and often take photographs down on the beach, I own a cheap $100 underwater case for my DSLR - although I do not use it to completely submerge my camera underwater, just to protect from sea spray Etc.
