Color film in black and white camera?

What types of film will fit in a 1979 color burst 250 camera?

  • My grandma just passed away and I received her old color burst camera but there's is no film with it and I'm not sure what kind to buy? I was going to buy Polaroid film but I'm not sure If that works

  • Answer:

It uses Kodak pr-10. Not long after your gran's camera was made polaroid sued kodak and won. Kodak had to stop instant cameras and film production. Sometimes pr-10 still surfaces on ebay when people clean out their attic but prices are truely insane and film that long over it's shelf life may not work. Some clever people discovered that a certain fuiji cartridge can also work but even that is now tricky to obtain. http://island.geocities.jp/sihohigari/tip/fi800.html

Those cameras used Kodak PR10 film, ... long since out of production, and no true compatible replacement was made. You can Google Kodak PR10 and get some links to some iffy work arounds, but bottom line, there really is no film for it any longer. Just keep it as a relic of the past and for the sentimental value. By the way, these cameras have little to no monetary value. http://ask.metafilter.com/166867/What-can-I-do-with-Polaroid-Type-600-Film-and-a-The-Handle-Kodak-instant-camera steve

You cannot use it. The film is no longer available.
