Had a picture question?

I have a quick jpg picture question?

• I was in a picture with 2 other friends and another friend popped in just before the picture was taken. Is there any way to erase him out of the picture so it can just be my self and my other 2 friends? I want to erase him like he was never in the picture. I don't want to cut or erase him and then leave a white spot where he was. Is there any free Mac program out there I can download or even a free internet based program that will be able to help me out. I have Gimp and Picasa and Paintbrush on my MacBook, if any of those programs can help me out, please let me know what one will be able to help me out and then please give me step by step instructions on how I can use the program to erase my friend out of the picture.
