How to add special effects to a short film?

Photography Essay: What to add and how? PLEASE :D?

• Hello! Basically this is the first Photography essay I have ever written and I haven't a clue what to add other than the obvious lighting, angles and effects etc. I am writing about the director of the film "The Book Of Eli" and how they kept the post apocalyptic style throughout the film just by using the camera. I am sure of how I am going to word it I just don't want it to turn into a film review over a photography essay. So how can I express different aspects of his word without it being a film review? Thanks :)

  Just cite the film as an example speaking of different photographic and filming techniques. Talk about the subtle differences in mood a photo or film has that change the emotion of the entire piece. One saying that I really like regarding photography and cameras is: "It's not the camera that's important, it's the person behind it and the lens in front of it that makes the biggest difference" I know that probably wouldn't fit in your essay but I just thought I'd share it. So to summarize, keep the film as an example for a subject in your essay like this: "...subtle differences in mood a photo or film has can change the emotion of the entire piece, for example; in the film "The Book Of Eli" the director kept the post apocalyptic style throughout the film just by the camera he used..." I hope this helps you in some way, haha. EDIT: Do you have a subject for your essay? Like "How photography techniques create mood" or something?
