Can You Take A Picture Out Of A Video?

I want to take a picture off of the video that I can see on our computer?

  • There is a part of my wedding where I am looking up at my husband, and this was not capured by our photographer. We have a DVD of our video-is there any way I can take a picture with my digital camera without a flash showing on the picture?

    If you want to take a pic of a paused video on the computer or tv screen, you do not need a flash. (Computer screen is higher resolution, so may give better shot.) The projected light from the screen is enough for a camera. Turn the flash off on the camera, then zoom in until the screen image fills the camera frame. Press the shutter button 1/2 way down and give the camera time to focus and set exposure. Then press the shutter button all the way down and take the pic! It is also possible to use video editing software to capture one frame of the video. But since video frames are not high resolution, the projected screen image may actually look better. Good Luck

i dont know of using a camera to do that but using the computer, i know a way. upload your video onto the computer. use windows movie maker, you can download it for free even if you don't have that programme. then you play the video using that programme, and until the part where you want it, you can click the camera icon under the playing video to capture that image. then you save the picture on your computer! now you will get the picture you want from the video! (:

You pause on the picture and use a camera without flash to take the picture and can save and later print for your wedding photo album.
