How do I color splash pictures?

How do you do color splash on pictures?

  • Meaning like when a picture is black and white and theres only one thing thats in color how do you do that? Do you need a specific program to do that or can you do that on photobucket?

    haha I just answerd this question so I will tell you the same. I use Picnik.com. It is the simplest editing program I know of and it's fully free (you can upgrade to more stuff but the basics is enough for most people) After you sign up, you upload a photo. Then you go to the "create" tab. Once there you can click on the black and white. It will make the picture black and white. Then you click the the little paint brush beside where it says "black and white" There is a box that will come up and you click reverse effect. Then you just color in what you want to be black and white. It sounds sooo confusing but once you get there it will be easy. Hope I helped. :)

You can use photoshop or paint.net (which is free unlike photoshop) or you can go to photobucket.com and they let u select the black and white of the picture. (THis is probably the easiest way) Also Flickr has a editing program to that's for free. But paint.net is the closest to photoshop so I'm sure it will be just as good and professional looking. good Luck

I use adobe photoshop. First make a copy of your layer. Go to adjustments and turn your hue/saturation of the top layer all the way down. Then take the eraser tool and erase the part that you want colored from the black and white layer.
