REALLY FUNNY PICTURES?

Why do you have to have a really expensive camera for your pictures to be considered good?

• I feel like my pictures aren't good enough since they aren't taken from a really expensive camera.. though years ago, I never noticed the camera quality so much. In fact, years ago, I was impressed with many pictures (taken by many artists) that now when I look back at them, I think aren't good cause they're from a "low quality" camera.. I think my perceptions on pictures have been warped due to all these photo sites I join where people take these really fancy shots with a 800 dollar camera or whatever.. so it makes me feel like all my pictures are trash cause they're from a "point and shoot" camera. but I didn't used to notice camera quality so much before. I think it ruins the fun of taking pictures in a way, when it's like you're in some kind of race to buy the most expensive equipment possible.. a race I definitely cannot keep up with cause I don't have that kind of money to spend...

  If you're so darned smart and all-knowing why don't you design a camera that can be mastered by a novice in less than a day? Do you think that every race car driver could design and build their race car? I rather doubt it. Show us some examples of your great photography.
