What is a grain-free photo?

What is the best free online photo hosting site??? And the best free photo editing program???

  • I had been using Microsoft Picture It! forever but then my computer crashed and when Windows was restored it wasn't on there. This sucks because I really liked how simple it was to use. I need a photo editing program to edit all my photos in (working in Yellowstone & the Tetons this summer so I have tons of photos). What is a good, simple photo editing program that I can download and use for free? Something similar to Picture It! would be excellent. I don't need anything too professional. Also, I was wondering what everyone thought was the best free online photo hosting site. I know there's PhotoBucket but I don't know if there are any other sites out there that may be better? I put my pics on facebook & myspace but I wanted to put them on a hosting site so my parents could see. What do y'all recommend? All recommendations and explanations as to why you think it's best for me are greatly appreciated. Thanks sooo much!

    There are many image hosting websites out there, I have posted a few links below. The best free image editor is gimp, it is a lot like photoshop and I'm afraid it's not as easy as you are used to, but there are many online tutorials available.

The best free hosting site is without a doubt, Photobucket. Easy to use, free, and almost limitless in size. As for editing, you are on your own, lol. Just hope you take good pictures.=D

www.imageshack.us , www.putfile.com are two great ones, image shack you don't have to worry about bandwidth, and putfile you can also host movies. As for editing software, Adobe Photoshop is the best, or Paint Shop Pro. You can go to either website and try a 30 day trial version to see which you like most.

I downloaded Ability Photopaint Studio from http://www.tucows.com a couple weeks ago. I was already intending to emphasize it's ease of use. Gimp is supposed to be the best, but I think this one is much easier to figure out.

Flickr.com is a wonderful photo sharing website. It is very popular with photographers. Although, it only gives you a certain amount of space on it. There is a 1 year charge for almost unlimited storage capacity.
