• Is it possible to print on a canvas with out using a specific printer but instead using and clever technique eg use fabric transfer paper to "print" on a canvas?

  There is canvas available specially coated to work with inkjet printers you can print on them like any other printing paper, the finish is usually matt. There are papers for laser printers (only laser printers) to make the screens for silk screen printing, you need to print a negative version with this method. Good if you want a few copies, but you will need a separate screen for each CMYK colour. Doesn't make detailed images very well.
