Is physical seeing much like a photographic/camera picture taking? Why?

Angles when taking a picture, are they a form of lie?

• I've never been a fan of taking pictures of myself, or seeing me on a video (it feels quite weird). But everyday, I see my friends and other people taking pictures of themselves with their cameras positioned 100 degrees from the ground. It sort of make them prettier since you can't see the fat, or most of the face except for the chin. There's also the side ways pose, when you can only see one cheek and their necks. I hate those, too. To top it off, they use photoshop and edit everything from their eye color to the amount of light the picture has. At the end, they post this stuff on Facebook, and people that don't know them in real life are tricked into believing that this girl isn't actually 300 pounds like her real self, or that Jackie resembles Megan Fox. I can usually spot the "tricked and doctored pictures" at one glance. but not everyone can. So is this a form of deception? Frankly, I don't think it's fair for the people that gets fooled.

  The people that do this are mostly deceiving themselves, and they are the fools for doctoring up their own photos. Posting stuff on facebook, as if others care to see it, is vain and pathetic in itself.
