How can I print a picture out on multiple pages?

How do you print a big picture on A4 pages so you can tape them together ?

• i have to print a picture that is A4 size but i need it big for my photography exam im getting a frame that is 39inx27in and i have to divide the image onto A4's and print them and tape them together if you get what i mean but i don't know how to do that, any ideas? the simplest way of doing it.. :) thank you

  The best is to take it to a professional outfit that can print it on a big printer. But if you're poor, like me, you have to make do. If your printer has a "no margin" mode, use that, else you have a lot of very careful cutting to do. Crop the picture into a series of smaller pictures that slightly overlap, think of cutting into a tic tac toe, or #. If you can get a large sticky back matt, then it's a matter of laying the pieces down so that the picture lines up. It would be best if you could tape the backside, but challenging to get the pieces to line up. You might try overlapping the center pic with tape on its backside, leaving a margin of sticky side up all around it. Place the next pieces where they belong, aligning carefully. Frame and you're done.
