What is a good name for my Photography Business?

What is a good name for my photography business?

  • My last name is Sharp so I want to incorporate that into the title, without doing what most people do and use [first name] [last name] photography. I thought about: A Sharp Image, A Sharp Portrait, A Sharp Memory. But I am really not sure how they would sound to the public. Opinions please, and any suggested names. Thanks

Seems like a lot of judgmental whacks here. Do what you feel and take what is said here with a grain of salt. I wouldn't worry about getting sued. Jeez. I've been a photographer over 20 years. You have to start somewhere. I am not overly concerned this person is going to get in over their head. Anyone wanting to trust them to a major assignment is going to want to see their portfolio and the quality of that will reflect. If it's good they get work. If it isn't they will have to build it up to get better work. Don't condemn the person for wanting to try.

Just what the heck is the matter with people these days. 1 month ago this was in a question of yours "I am just learning and hope to progress with time.". So you have progressed from "just learning" to opening a business in 1 month. Please tell me how you managed to cram about 4-5 years of learning and experience into that space of time. As to this question. Call it "closing down sale" because you will be in another month.

I think that if are going to be a business owner, you need to do this yourself, its your executive decision. Remember also that the business name really isn't that important, people hire you for what you do, not what your named.

3 weeks ago you were asking which Canon Rebel to buy, and now you're ready to open a business? Call your business "Just Sue Me Now" That's what's going to happen anyway...

Sharp image sounds too much like The Sharper Image (catalog store)

all those names sound gay no offence. think of something entirely new and not to do with your ugly harsh last name.

The Sharper Image might sue you. It's best to stick to your name.

I like Sharp Image! It seems like a very catchy name.
