How to post pictures from flickr to tumblr?

Putting edited pictures on tumblr?

• I'm a bit confused about pictures on tumblr. I just started using it a few days ago. What I don't understand is the edited pictures that people post (not reblog, but their pictures), are they all actually taken by the author of it? What I mean is, do they just find the pictures off of flickr and then edit them and submit them on tumblr? I submitted one of my own pictures, but would I be able to take a picture off of flickr and then edit it? Or is that not allowed?

  First off, posting pictures on tumblr isn't hard, you just click the 'photo' option off the main dashboard. 2) You can put (almost*) any pictures you want on tumblr. They may be uploaded directly from your computer or linked to/from another website, in this case flickr. ---If you go to the 'goodies' page on tumblr, there's an applet that can help you directly post photos from outside sources INCLUDING their original source/author. Google chrome also has this feature available. 3. What I mean is, do they just find the pictures off of flickr and then edit them and submit them on tumblr? Yes you can find pictures on flickr and post them *BUT* you HAVE to be sure to credit the author/creator/owner! This is a HUGE problem on tumblr. I would suggest ABSOLUTELY NOT EDITING any pictures from flickr without the author/creator/owner's permission. That is THEIR work that THEY created. They have posted it to flickr because that's how THEY want THEIR work to be seen. You wouldn't go to a gallery and paint over someone else's painting because it would please you, right? Same thing goes for items on flickr. Bottom line is post what you want BUT don't take the credit for other people's work and DO NOT edit anything that doesn't belong to you without the owners permission.
