How to create a glow around an object?

  • I'm making a stop-motion film, and I want to make a glow around an object, so that the object appears almost invisible/blacked out. Do I do this by just putting bright lights behind my object, or by doing something else? What?

Alright, you know the stuff that's in glowsticks? You can make that pretty easily, that's why it's so cheap, and then you can rub it on the object you want to glow. It's 100% safe, but it might make your hands smell a little. Just get isopropyl alcohol (It's rubbing alcohol) and make sure the rubbing alcohol is at least 75% Isopropyl, try to get 90% if you can. Now get chlorinating tablets that people get in their pool. Now get a two-liter soda bottle. Put all of the rubbing alcohol inside and then put the chlorine tablets. The more you put in, the brighter it gets, I would suggest 1-5. Then put the cap on and shake it for 5-10 straight minutes. It will be worth it. Edit: I forgot to mention, leave it on the table after you are done shaking it. It will glow if you leave it overnight. And wash your hands after if you don't want them to smell.
