How to get your photography career started..?

• How would you get your photography career started, for instance like getting known! Can you guys tell me about photography schooling, i really plan on following my photography career. I want to get my fine arts degree in college after i graduate. Can you guys give me web-links for a good website that allow you to share your photo's and can you give me good editing software for my photo's that i edit. I follow on free lancing " wild life " photography and portrait photographer. Ive been a photographer for about a year now i have quite a " unique " eye, and its my passion taking pictures.

  EVERYONE has a unique eye and wants into photography. If you are really serious set up a flickr account and get Adobe Photoshop CS5 and Adobe Lightroom 3 (4 is probably out now) for whatever OS you have, if those are too expensive GIMP works fine. Starting off just do events for your family, take pictures at reunions and get togethers. Make a nice collage and share them online with everyone. Have your family recommend you for people getting senior pictures done or their kid at a sporting event, like action shots. Once you get more professional and experienced move on to weddings/team photos/business photos for websites. Not going to lie its really hard to get noticed and started, maybe start off doing things for free because the quality will not be great.
