How do i create an electronic signature?

How can I create a decent looking logo to place on photography pictures as a watermark/signature?

  • I am looking for the simplest way to create a decent looking signature for use on my photography images - but I dont know where to look! How do I actually make the watermark? - I understand how to layer it onto images but dont know steps on how to put a watermark together. 10points to the recommendation that best suits what I'm after!

As I understand your question, you are asking how to literally make a logo. That falls into the realm of graphic design, and no one here can say "here is exactly what you do" anymore than anyone can say in a couple of sentences everything there is to know about photography. It is a skill requiring lots of knowledge and experience to do well if you truly do want something decent looking. You can go to Google and type in "free logo design" and there are several sites where you can create a logo for no cost. The logo is basically already created and you add your name into it and download it for use. They can look ok, but you get what you pay for, and they certainly do not look professional and of course, anyone else may have the exact same logo. I suggest if you want something that you will be happy with long term and makes a statement of professionalism, that you use a logo creation service. It is not cheap, but not extremely expensive either. You have to regard it as an investment that you should only have to do once. Any pro logo site will allow you to decline their design and have it redone until you are satisfied, though the more "declines" you are allowed, the higher the initial cost of the logo. The Logo Design Team would be a good place to begin: http://www.logodesignteam.com/logo-design-order.html steve

You can either create your own (I know you're looking for specifics, but it looks like you already know how to use Photoshop- just play around until you create something you like that suits you), or you can hire a graphic designer to help you create one. Many photographers, myself included, have very simple logos so that they are easy to create, and more importantly, they do not take away from the photographs once you watermark them. Try doing what I did and play around with different fonts and letter sizing until your logo captures what you're all about.

You create it as a tiff or giff with transparency in any program like photoshop, theGimp, inkscape, illustartor ... Then you use any old program (see list above or ViewNX, Lightroom) to apply the "logo" tou your images ... either one by one (in the case of photoshop, theGimp ...) or in a batch (lightroom or XNView).

Let me tell you, 1. Find a nice watermarking software, you can search keywords "watermark software", "watermarking software" on google, I recommend the NO.1 on google that because I have used this software long time, I like it, download here: http://www.watermark-software.com 2. This software provides many watermarks, looks nice, pick one. 3. Put this watermark on your photo, also support batch mode. 10 points...

Use Photoshop or GIMP to design something that you like, but make it simple.
