How do I make prints of my paintings?

  • I have made paintings that I would like to sell. But I want to sell canvas prints of them, so that I could keep the originals. Is there a way to scan them and have them printed onto canvas?

    Check around for a local giclee print shop. Some print shops also offer artwork reproduction services. There's a shop in our area that does great artwork reproductions and makes very nice, high quality canvas prints. They are Faville Photo (www.favillephoto.com). If you aren't in Arizona, then you'd have to ship the originals to them, but it's well worth it. The reproductions look nearly identical to the originals. It's amazing. Give them a shot. There is, but, if the canvases are too large, then you'll have to have the original paintings photographed in high resolution. It is possible to do it yourself, but it requires some special skills and knowlege to do it properly. If you really want high quality results, you should hire a professional photographer who is experienced with doing this.
