What is botanical markers?

What kinds of paints/markers should be used on Converse?

  • So I already posted a question about this, but I'm trying to get as much incite as possible, so I'm re-posting the question. I have all white Converse Hi-Tops that I'll decorate myself, but I'm not sure what kinds of paints/markers I should use. Some people said to use fabric paints/markers, but I just want to make sure that they won't run when they get wet or crack when they're dry. I'm assuming acrylic paints aren't suitable for this. Also, I'm not gonna be spraypainting them, just normal paint or markers. THANKS :D

  • Answer:

You can use acrylic paints- just add fabric medium to the paint and don't get "thick" with them. Its available in the craft paint section. Sharpies do work but my daughter uses thin brushes for her detail work. You can also use airbrush paint for tees, by brushing it on if you don't have an airbrush.
