  Go to the food section in wal-mart . There you will find tye dye bottles of ink. They come in a variety of colors with directions. White vingar will help the ink be more permanent. I use one once of vingar to a gallon of water with the mixture of a color of tye dye. This works on cloth...I don't know about a guitar. However, by using enamel paint which comes in water based colors , you can use them by applying to the guitar one color at a time, applying a second color and letting them "bleed" together to give it the tye dye effect look and continue until the guitar has the look you like. To make the paint be more permanent, spray with clear acrylic varnish or paint over it with clear polyutherine varnish which you can also obtain at wal-mart in the craft section or paint section.
