Does anyone have ideas on how to make a burning joan of arc costume for humanities?

Then cut out lots of orange, red and yellow fabric in the form of flames and sew them onto the front of the dress. You can also make the armor breast plate from cardboard covered in tinfoil as well as a sword from cardboard and covered in tin foil. The person can also wear brown leotards along with the tunic.and belt ,The belt, which would hold the pole in place.

The best I can come up with is to make your basic Joan of Arc costume and then attach flame shapes in chiffon to the costume using flame reds oranges and blacks. You could also scorch some of the costume, but be careful what and where you do this.
