Which famous artists use human form in their work?

  • Any artists like Matisse?

  • Answer:

Lucien Freud. Irish artist Pauline Bewick has a similar line to Matisse, but I'm not sure if she's using the human figure in her work at the moment.

Just look at an art book - it is full of depictions of the human form. From cave paining to contemporary art, the human form shows up in almost all art movements. (Major exceptions include Islamic art and modern movements such as abstract expresisonism and minimalism). Matisse painted the human form over and over, as did other famous artists of his period.
