What are the principles of art?

What are the organizing principles of each wing in the Philadelphia museum of art?

• How are the galleries arranged? Does anyone know any examples of types of art in this museum? I was so overwhelmed by the size of the phili museum of art that I did not even focus on it's organization, and now I have a paper due on it tomorrow!

  If I remember correctly modern art paintings were in there own section and Renaissance had their own section Same goes for sculpting works they all have their own sections I also remember that the old Tapestries were hung up on the walls going up the steps to the next floor. Then they have certain rooms that they use for special showings of famous artists when the work of the artist is being shown on a world tour. It is a Beautiful building inside and out. I really like going there.There is always something new added. They also showed the Mona Lisa when the tour came to Philly.They also showed the treasures of King Tut and the famous golden mask from his tomb.
