How To Spray Paint?

I have a bike, got it free and I got lucky. I want to spray paint it. How and with what type of spray paint?

I have bought a child seat attachment for it as well as a little trailer that my son can enjoy the ride as I take us on a bike hike ride. I would love to add my own style to the bike. It has the name brand stickers with mountain bike words, and I can't dig it. So, i was wondering if I could buy spray paint at a local store and pimp my bike? If so so I have to take the current paint off of it and what will happen it i just spray over the current color?

You HAVE to sand it all down, remove rust, tape everything that moves, add layers, and add a protective coat... otherwise it will look like **** and peel off in an instant, you'd be best to sand it all down and buy a professional paint and apply that. or take it to a bike shot that will do that. plus you'll have to remove those stickers which is a pain... HAVE FUN!!!

first you have to take the whole bike apart, then you'll have to sand down the bike, to get rid of all the og paint on it, then paint it whatever colors, (make sure to do a couple coats) then clearcoat( specially if you plan on putting on decals.
