What paint is best for wall murals?

Did Claude Monet ever paint any murals or wall paintings?

  Funny that Thin should mention that... The paintings of his garden and water lilies were painted on 10? Or 12? VERY large canvases.. 8’ long by 4’ high.. A round room was made by the Louvre to house these canvases. Monet wanted people to be able stand in the middle of the room and feel as though they were in his own gardens. Unfortunately the Louvre after building this area wanted Monet to donate the paintings free of charge. Monet was NOT a happy camper or pleased by this gesture. So Monet did not donate them and held on to them for the rest of his life. Only when Monet passed away did the Louvre pay for the paintings and displayed them for so many years before retiring the display. Yes. Monet has MANY murals sized canvases. Renoir BTW painted mural ON walls for a friend that owned some kind of shop.. Restaurant or something, can’t remember…. But after so many years the murals were covered over by panels. This was recounted by Renoir in one of the books written about him…. (Can’t remember that either… ) sheesh, I must be old…
