How do you make double-side prints?

How can i make prints of my paintings but make prints on canvas with the same textures as the original?

  • many of my paintings have a lot of textre and raised textured areas, i have multiple people asking to purchase same painting or prints the problem is i want to make a high quality print that also maintains the original textures of my painting. i want to print on canvas. any help would be appreciated, i keep searching online, but i haven't had any luck and i know that when i go to stores with artwork(target, ikea, ect...) they sell prints on canvas that look like the real deal, with brush strokes and texture...is this just something they do for mass producing?

  • Answer:

You have to have the artwork printed on canvas and thereafter use Gesso or paint to highlight the areas you want the texture in. A good gesso is Z Gel. A good site to print your artwork onto canvas wholesale is http://www.abbotart.com

those prints you saw at target ikea are printed onto a raised background, eg the canvas already has areas layered with a gesso or matzine pigment so when printed it looks as if it were a real oil painting. A cameo imposter if you like, personally it's all a bit pretencious and fake if you ask me. As to your work I think unless you have a very large budget for surface effects then you will have to make do with plain old screen printing or litho printing.
