Has anybody ever used ultraviolet paint?

I have a WCW world title that is pretty tarnished. would metallic gold spray paint touch it up nice?

  • The belt is pretty old, about 13 years, seeing as though it is a WCW licensed 1998 version of the belt. I figure spray paint or even handpaint could go over the tarnished spots or over the entire belt to add a nice finish to it, of course covering up the leather and the ruby studs with tape as to not get the paint on it. Basically i just want to see if anybody has had experience retouching belts and what would be the correct way to do it if spray paint or any kind of paint like that would be correct. I don't want to lose the etching to thick layers of paint, but i figure the belt would look better with a shiny new coat of paint, not tarnished like it is in those spots where it used to be pretty. Thanks in advance everybody.

  • Answer:

Is this an original belt or a copy. If it is an original I would not restore it that way. Take it to a professional restorer and let them look at it. If you try to do it yourself you can mess it up and it can loose all it's value. If it is just a copy than have fun with it.
