My cousin creates beautiful art - he gives all paintings for free. As family; how can we help him?

See about having them displayed somewhere like art shops or museums if he is okay with this. If enough interest is generated the shops may offer to have prints made. Publicity could help generate interest and more people would then recognize their value. I personally would love to see them. It sounds like he has a wonderful God given gift and should share it with the world :) Be sure and take pictures of all his paintings.

Why not set up a website for him, or see if local shops/restaurants etc could put them on display? That way, the world could see his talent - but he doesn't need to accept any money in return. It would be a good way of publicising his work.

Offer him to buy materials for paintings of give him for birthday orsomething like this. Buy colours, brushes and linen :D

Ask him if you can try selling one just to see what someone would pay for it. Maybe getting some extra money will change his mind. But if he says no, respect his decision. It's his art, he can do what he wants with it.

Instead of putting an exact price tag on your cousin's paintings, let the buyers give how much they want for the painting, so at least your cousin will receive some money for the materials and labor. Explain to your cousin that the money can be used to buy art supplies to create more paintings and that most people WANT to give the painter money for their services rendered. If he still wants to give his ORIGINAL paintings for free, then let him do so, otherwise you will probably take away his JOY of painting. Let him make money from PRINTS of his artwork instead. Or get a free website at Google Sites, Microsoft Office Live, Weebly, Webs Free Website, Wix Free Website or a blog site such as WordPress Free Blog, Blogger, TypePad while you sell your art using a PayPal account. Go to PayPal website. Click on GET PAID. Select SELL ON YOUR WEBSITE. With this feature, you can add a payment button to your website and accept credit card orders securely. 2). Upload a high resolution image of your artwork and the company will reproduce the artwork as prints and other items.
