Metameric colours?

  • I could do with some advice or information please. Metamerism relates to the way colours change under different lighting conditions: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metamerism_... I'm looking for information on how to identify colours that shift more markedly than other colours as the lighting changes - I want to use this property in my photography. I've already made one image which seems very metameric - it's interesting as it means you can hide or reveal other pictures within an image as the light changes. ;) e.g. are saturated colours or pastel shades more liable to shift markedly under different lighting? Any general rules?? Any help or advice would be much appreciated, thanks!!

  • Answer:

as a rule the more white pigment the greater the effect due to reflecting light as opposed to absorbing it when it come to light it has to do with the kalvin watts or the color produced by the energy output ...wow can't believe I remember that
