How To Find Draw Sites Like Dragoart?

People who love to draw?

  • what media do you find is the most effective and why what are your fave subjects to draw what sites do you use as a source of subjects (insects would be very helpful) i recently got an A* in my art gcse and i dont think i could have done it without these chalk pencils i have, i was never that great at pencil crayons i dont like you cant blend them. until recently i was a bit scared of watercolours but really love them for painting underwater bugs, insects i find for me come very naturally to draw rather then large mammals such as pandas dogs elephants etc.

I don't know what media is most effective for me when I am drawing-- mainly I use pencils. I have pastels and colored pencils and water colors (are they acrylics? idk) tucked away, but I don't use them much. As much as I use pencils. I like pencils because you can easily erase them, and they don't smudge so much, and they're pretty instant go on, no drying... it's not that I really think about what I use, just pencils seem so accessible... then ballpoint pens and sharpie when they're around. Nice effects sometimes, even, or perhaps specially, when the Sharpie is turning dry. Fave subjects. Um, well I think humans are nice to draw. Sometimes I have a subject, model if you will... who is especially attractive, artistically, I suppose. Just sketching humans while they're going about helps me later when I'm making up poses, and stuff. I don't really use the computer for subject sources... I mean I don't have a site I got to for pictures of humans, although when I come across them, and I like, I save them. I have a library on my computer that I don't look at it, but it's nice to know I have the pictures. For subjects that I don't really see too often, be it for projects or what not, I just google... I use the internet more as a resource for tutorship, tutorials and stuff, than for index, when I'm just drawing. I get lots of hints on the internet. I found this site useful for my drawing endeavors... http://aperturequiet.blogspot.com/2007/01/john-ks-animation-school-revisited.html Well not that site, the links the blogger put on his page .

a quick way to create pieces is a blender or q-tip and shave chalk color to create your piece and then use colored pencils to enhance lines. Subject: i prefer architecture traveling and just taking pictures

i really like pencil and charcoal. i really love to draw in-animate objects. i like to draw random everyday items, such as a doorknob or like a lightswitch.

I've had wonderful results with charcoal. I can get it to do just about anything. I'm a wildlife artist, and I use my own photos from the zoo as references whenever possible. Otherwise, I Google images (and of course you can't copy internet images b/c of copyright) for references.
