Where is the animation button in Photoshop?

Anyway to transfer layers from Photoshop into an animation program?

  • I have the full blown photoshop and though I can do animation in it, the program isn't designed for that function specifically so it can be a pain. So I was wondering, is there a program out that that allows you to import .psd files and then lets you turn it into an animation and fiddle around with frame times and so on? I'm on a Mac so it'd have to be compatible with that. And free or cheap is a big bonus, don't have much money to spare.

  • Answer:

Adobe After Effects is really easy to use software,it's totally compatible with Mac but not free or cheap, you can import .psd files in AE but cant really animate the layers by them self, what you can do is save each layer as a separate file as a .png file to keep the background transparent then import it to AE or the animation program you use. Here are some free animation programs, that would work on a Mac , i didn't try them though, but hope they work out for you..
