How can I sharpen a pencil?

How to sharpen prismacolor color pencil without a prismacolor sharpener?

• ok so the only store the sells it needs to order it in which takes 2 weeks, and im going away on holiday this friday soo that wouldn't work, and the country im going to doesnt sell prisma products... how else should i sharpen these pencils, people say you cant sharpen with a normal one cause it breaks easily.. and no, not a knife :)

  Use 280 grit sandpaper. Place the sandpaper on a flat surface, for example a desk. Put the pencil on the intented sharpening angle on the sandpaper, this is about 25 degrees. To make the angle 25 degrees place the pencil perpendicular/90 degrees to the sand paper then half this angle. Half this angle and you should end up with 25+/- degrees. Now run the pencil forward and back on the sand paper, while turning it at a constant pace. For example; you rotate the pencil once clockwise while you push it forward 30 cm and rotate it anit-clockwise while you drag the pencil back 30 cm. If you follow these steps carefully you should end up a sharpened pencil.
