Tattoo apprenticeship!!!!?

Im 16 in about 2 and a half months and leaving school is fast a pproaching me, i LOVE tattooing and also have 4 tattoos myself, i want to be a tattooist SO badly and one day hope to open my own tattoo studio... but i have no idea how to go about getting a tattoo apprenticeship, and seems ill only be 16 i cant have a portfolio, can i? PLEASE HELP. I want this so bad x

Your best bet is to go back to the artist/s who did you tattoos. Take with you a folio of your art work (tattoos you've designed, any other pictures you've done, displaying a broad range of styles) and talk to them about where to go from there. They'll tell you how they got to be a tattooist, and what they recommend you do next. Who knows, they might even take you on as an apprentice themselves ;)
