How to make money with sketches or digital art?

  • I'm trying to save money for school so I need a few ways to make "extra" money (no money is extra if ya' need it, right). I can draw really well, I can also make really good digital photos such as anime characters and so on. I'm looking for a few ways to use my skills in order to make mula. I've done it before, I sold a few drawings to an art dealer about a year ago, but lost contact with this person and havent made money with my art since. So it would mean lots to me if someone could give me some advice on how I could make extra cash with my art. Thanks. (I cant dedicate so much time to a real job right now, this is why I'm looking for side jobs)

    Hi! U can asked to ur friends. Tell them u can make them a commission or art trade. Let them look at ur portofolio. U can say, "hey, i can draw ur face! It could be amazing in ur room!" or, "u need a gift for ur girlfriend, mate! Hey, i can draw her potrait, u know. Just gimme her photograph. Its not expensive....". U got the point. Or u can sign up at deviantart.com. Prove peoples therethat u fan draw and u can open a commission. Like, "cheap sketch! Chibi, with colour $..." like that. And i told u: traditional sketches (u know.. In the paper, with graphite or whatever) would be more expensive than digital painting. Cuz they got the real drawing in traditional sketches, and when it comes to digital sketches u an only sell its printing. And i told u: believe me, people would love traditional potrait so much. Sorry for my messy english. Hope it helps.
