Pros and cons of being a graphic designer?

• What you like and dislike about the position? What are things you recommend to someone starting out our thinking about getting into the Business

  I like: Learning new software or getting new toys Brainstorming with team members getting fun projects I dislike: pretty much everything else... stupid clients defective of insufficient equipment tedious work (monotonous) --------------------------------------… (Don't take a job as a typesetter as your first) It will give you a bad perspective of the field. I worked at a daily newspaper as my first gig most days sucked, there were a few good ones here and there the stress was unreal....and unnecessary - looking back my favorite part of the day was getting off work and going to the bar and killing some braincells while blowing off steam -yeah I drank nearly everyday... not good --------------------------------------… good luck
