What's a good 8 piece drum set?

I just got an art set and there's a piece of sandpaper in it, whats it for in an art set?

    The sandpaper can be used to sharpen the coloured pencils. They break too easily if sharpened in a regular pencil sharpener. It can also be used to make the charcoal pieces pointier for finer lines.

Yes those are good answers, I always keep a fine grade piece handy> just stripe your pencil lead as you are working so that you are not using a sharpener or blade every minute. A lot of pros don't like sharpeners they can twist the lead and break it a blade is best, sharp penknife or craft knife. if it's graphic type art fine edged, details etc. Also use it to alter surfaces especially on heavy paper with water colour or whatever medium you have going, You can "break through from one colour to another or to white paper. Experiment with it.

Sharpening a point on the pencils, a lot of people use sandpaper to rework the ends of the pencil without chewing the pencils down further with the sharpener.

& Ive used it for sanding down/smoothing paints.If it gets to be clumpy or textured on the paper.:) sounds like a nice set! Have fun with it :p ( i know there aren't any paints in it but...) yeah

Could it be for getting a point on the charcoal sticks? They usually come blunt...you might want to draw detail with them.,.
