Tips on teaching a young child Spanish?

Tips and stuff about teaching a 7 year old child how to draw?

  • I have been asked to teach a young kid with no drawing experience to draw..and i have no idea where to start, i myself started at the advanced steps, but i don't know how to teach the basics to a kid! HELP/tips wanted....

  • Answer:

start with drawing simple things, like heads and arms. Teach him/her to draw a nose, not an advanced one, but just a simple one. Also teach him/her to draw arms and possibly fingers (though that could be hard for her) Maybe teach to draw a tree. Again, nothing fancy. Also show her techniques like not making the line for the grass straight, make the grass and the sky connect (for a horizon) and don't put the objects on the top of the line, but a little below. These are all things that I know I didn't know when I was 7, but I learned with time. They are simple and easy enough! Don't teach 2-D yet, except maybe a box (or house), and don't teach shading yet. Just simple things!

give him a pencil and crayons and tell him to draw whatever he wants. that's the basics i'm not even kidding.

Is this child an art prodigy or are his parents trying to raise a serial killer? Most seven year olds don't have the ability to nail down spatial relationships. Or to see 2D shapes in the 3D world. Or sufficient hand-eye coordination to draw shapes successfully let alone consider highlighting and shadowing. I vote with the "give him some paper and crayons and let him go for it" answerer. If you must teach him, start by having him learn to see shapes in his world. Good Luck!

You could take some of the exercises from the book "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain", like giving him a simple line drawing, turning it upside-down and having him copy it.

give him a book of what he likes to see example are trucks, dinosaurs, weapons anything just a suggestion don't buy him Halo or Call of Duty for a while if he likes weapons i personally draw best in class or listening to music
