What is the best animal/alien cartoon character to draw?

I am doing a Freelance Illustrating and Cartooning Course and the assignment is to create a character of my own. The trouble is that I don't know what character to draw because I like drawing monkeys, rabbits, aliens, etc. This new character is blue and he is an artistic and a funny guy. Would a rabbit suit this character's personality? Or some other animal/alien that may fit into this character's personality? Your thoughts and opinions are truly grateful and I will be happy to know that you have helped me with my assignment.
