How do I draw anime/manga?

  • I've been drawing since 10 and now I'm 12. I'm really good at drawing when I look from another picture without copying, but whenever I draw something alone I'm hopeless.Well...not really... But anyway, do you know how I can get better at drawing manga on my own? I mean: How I can be creative?How can I draw the eyes?How can I draw the hair?How can I draw the clothes? Those are my only problems.:S I would be very thankful if someone could tell me.

    First of all, there is no "exact" step-by-step way of drawing. It all depends on your style. But I do have some tips for you. 1. Be creative. There's no "exact" way of doing this either but being creative is about thinking outside the box. The things you come up with which seem "absurd", "weird", or just "stupid", can be great sources of inspiration. Just don't try to think too hard. Great ideas usually come when you least expect it. 2.Watch a lot of anime. Drawing something by yourself without a reference requires a bit of memorization. Watching anime or reading manga can make the process a lot more fun and entertaining. 3. Check out online tutorials. The can learn a lot from the web. Use a search engine to make things a little easier. 4.Practice, practice, practice. This method is proven and tested.

Well, there isn't really any specific way to draw manga, you sort of have to develop a technique on your own. But here are some basic guidelines. 1. Start basic. Go with a main structure, even a stick figure, and then give it more detail as you go along. 2. Make your image flow. Drawing people in too-stiff a position makes them look like a barbie doll on botox. Don't be afraid to give the body the slightest bit of contour, even if that means bending it out of shape. 3. Adjust for perspective! Anything that's "closer" to the eye make bigger, and anything that's further make smaller. Adjust lengths of arms, legs, etc. to get that almost 3-D effect.

haha these people are wrong. there is indeed a solid way to draw anime. it is a style that emerged with the need of a fast and efficient way to animate characters that would allow various artists to work on the same thing without showing obvious transitions. plz dont correct me i know everything. lol jk. but yeah dude just look ffor a guide on google there is mountains of them. its the easiest way of drawing and it may even lay a foundation for you if you want to be a real artist later on in life. oh. by the way, i do recommend video tutorials (youtube) instead of picture by picture ones. for obvious reasons.

lol im jsut like u too....!!!!!!!!! loll 1well first u gotta STOP copying man.. wat happens if someone finds out.. 2. Be creative.. 3. Pick a type of eye and KEEP THAT FOREVER in ur pics. cuz u dont really want to change the eyes of people and how they look 4. the hair? Make up some.. Look at ur friends hairdues.. 5. lol clothes r hard for me.. u can also look at ur friends clothes. or draw clothes u wear.. if its for the guys. just draw somehtin a guy would wear Lol i was like U too but IM gettin better at drawing manga and anime lol isn't it fun??????^^ hope u work better on ur drawings I almost practice everyday too!
