I need help with Adobe Photoshop.

I need to edit my logo for me website! (Adobe ImageReady, Photoshop CS2) Help, please?

  • I created my logo as WordArt in MS Word (it's just colored text). I edited and saved it as an image. The background of my website has graphics so when I upload the image of my logo, you can see the white space behind the text (get me?). The only way I can get rid of this problem is by removing the background graphics on my webpages and leave it as white space so that the white background of my logo image blends with the blackground of my website. Is there a way to edit my logo so that it includes only the TEXT WITHOUT the white space behind it? Can I do this w/ ImageReady or Photoshop CS2?

    Photoshop: 1. select all areas you do not want visible using the various selection tools. 2. Invert the selection (Ctrl-shift-I) 3. Cut the image (Ctrl-X) 4. Select all (Ctrl-A) 5. Delete 6. Paste (Ctrl-V) 7. You will now have two layers: the background and layer 1. Delete the background layer. 8. Save for web (Ctrl-Alt-Shift-S) 9. Ensure "transparency" is selected 10 Save as .gif 11. place in web site

Yes with photoshop cs2 you can do it, the tool should be called magic eraser, and that should only take out the white background, or you can us polygonal or something like that and just crop anything you want gone glad to help.
