Famous Charcoal artists?

Charcoal and Graphite Artists please help?

• I've been experimenting with vine charcoal, compressed charcoal pencils and graphite pencils. What inexpensive paper do you recommend for using all three? Preferably a pad, better than a bunch of individual sheets. My drawings aren't museum quality, but they aren't rough quick sketches either. They have some fine detail and usually a lot of shading and value. Most papers are great for one or the other. Most paper with medium tooth are good for graphite and the charcoal does not stick at all or it does in sort of patches(?). Others, charcoal works fine, but its a little too rough when i draw for example skin with graphite. I'm sure such a paper exists, I appreciate your help, thanks!

  Well I use those mediums a lot, and i like to use a sketch pad for it. Just look for something called like 'Sketching Journal' or Pad. Something like that, and look for one with pages that are around 115gsm and is Acid Free. This tends to work for me. With both charcoal and graphite. I hope this helps, if not.
