What is the best place/area to shop in Philly?

What would be the best way for me to study photo shop?

  • I would like to use photo shop for the purposes of digital art and illustration. First, though, I would like to read a book or take a course on photo shop for beginners as to learn how to use the program. Are there any books or online courses/tutorials that anyone recommends that will allow me to really understand and use photo shop? Thanks!

Jeremiah, A class is an excellent choice, but do lots of experimentation while you're waiting -sometimes that gets the best results. The most interesting projects in my classes were the ones that used the most techniques that weren't taught in class. Try all the buttons to see what effect they have on your art.

If you want to learn the basics quickly and easily, take a class. I'm self taught and it was a hassle, a very long hassle, months and months of hassle. Since only you now how much money and time you have: http://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=A0oGkinMWa9JGhEAV_ZXNyoA?p=Photoshop+CS4+online+class&y=Search&fr= Scott Kelby is a real guru. You can't go wrong with him. I've taken other courses at LVS online and Eclectic Academy. They may not have CS4 classes but the basics will be the same in all recent versions. I liked the relaxed atmosphere of their classes - and they're cheap.
