What are deviantART commissions?

Deviantart Commissions and Prints?

• I was thinking of opening up commissions when I receive more watchers, so I was just wondering...If you draw traditional artwork, do you send them the copy or do you just upload it and make it a print? And speaking of prints, can someone explain them to me?

  I believe that most people upload: it is wiser and more secure to upload if it is convenient, unless the recipient makes a special request to have the original mailed. If you upload, then the option to make a print will come up (if the artwork is of an eligible size). Then adjust settings as needed and submit( as a print) (a button will appear under the deviation's page later that says that it is available as a print). Prints are basically your artwork on different sizes of high-quality paper that may be ordered via dArt. Canvas prints are also available through deviantart. There is a certain percentage of money per sale that is given to you, and a certain part distributed w/in deviantArt. I believe t-shirts, magnets, and other merchandise can also be ordered. check the deviantart help page for more specifics etc.
