How do you use deviant art?

Can i use another person artwork from deviant art on my own deviant page after i have edited it in CS5?

    The person who owns the copyright controls the right to copy - that's what it means. The laws of copyright extend to what is called "derivative" works - that is, pictures that are developed (derived) from another picture. It is up to the copyright owner (usually the artist) as to what they will allow - contact them via DA, tell them how much you like their work, ask if you can do what you wish to. Their answer might depend on what they understand you are going to do with the altered art: putting it on the fridge at home might be OK with them, while posting it on-line might not. In any case, they will expect that any public copy should acknowledge their original work (eg based on image XXX copyright XXX, 2010). Putting this on the picture is not enough to let you use it - you still need permission first.

Sorry to say, doing that makes you an art thief. So NO, For godsake NO. The line drawing, the only part that was actually drawn by a person is still hers. I don't think adding effects and colour is really art even. What you're considering is referred to as tracing or ripping someone else's work. Add it to your favourites and leave it. That's something someone else has worked their asses off for. And hellobaby is a power in deviantart. I'll clarify. Bad. Will probably get you banned.

No. How would you feel if someone stole an image of yours, changed some colour and claimed it as their own? And it is not allowed if you get caught.
