Can you make a cartoon with a video camera?

    After Effects has several plugins that will do it. There are several other programs that do as well. With a little practice you can get something pretty similar. {Photoshop would do it too if you wanted to mess with breaking everything into frames, batch processing it, reassembling it and putting the sound back on it...} Frame rate doesn't really have to be more than 12-15fps... NTSC Video is 30 {unless you're using something that will shoot at the 24 frames that film uses.}.

u didnt specify if u will be using drawings or cut outs for your animation cartoon.if u r using multiple drawings...there are several softwares u can use...u dont have to shoot them on video camera.u will have to scan ur drawings and upload them to these software. Flash by macromedia is one good software...u can adjust the frames to 24frames per second. u have to scan and upload them or u can draw directly to it. Theres also Toonboom studio also simple and easy to use. theres also Flipbook..u can always view first before u can finalize your animation. still there are lots of software out there..but these softwares i said are the easiest to navigate...go check them out...

it would be easier to use anime studio 5 i think its called, where u only need to draw ur character once and then make a puppet of it with the program, for movement, yea u can use photoshop and the frame record thing, but it takes a really long time coloring in each frame.
