Is there a website where you can create your own magazine cover?

How do i create a magazine cover in photoshop? ... I need to know the size, resolution etc.?

  • I have to design a magazine cover .... it has to be the same size as the Times Magazine ... I need to know the size, the resolution ... the bleeds everything that has to be considered while designing a magazine cover for final print in photoshop. Please help .... links to any step by step tutorials will be great :-)

    Not sure exactly the dimensions of Time Magazine, you may want to just get one and measure it. A bleed should be at least 1/8" (you can go 1/4" if you want to give yourself a little extra playing room). Make sure to add your crop marks and of course print the image on paper that is larger than the actual size and cut out your image using the crop marks. DPI should be a minimum of 250dpi, 300 and more is best though. Image mode should be CMYK for print, if it's just going to be viewed on the computer and not printed out RGB is ok. Can't think of anything else at the moment.

step 1. new file : customise width & hight(For ur mag) resolution should be anywhere between 150 to 300. i think 300 is better in print. step 2. make sure that other images that goes into ur design are ready; either scanned or downloaded. step 3. ctrlC & ctrlV to add images.(image & destination should be in same resolution) step4 do some layer effects and filters and ur cover page is ready. Seems very simmple ! All that matters is ur creativity. Carry on. u be ur tutor.

to the best of my knowledge..the average size would be 10x14 resolution to be anywhere above 400dpi your best bet would be to use Illustrator for magazine covers or PageMaker. the bleed needs to be a full bleed Hope this helps a little bit
