How To Draw Manga?

Do you have to know how to draw (anime) to write manga.?

• I've been on and off with writing for awhile now. I'm actually writing a novel right now, but It's been a little struggle because everytime i try to re-write the beginning I fail with the thought of manga. I'd love to write manga instead, but problem is that I'm not that much of a drawer. I can do it, I have before and it was pretty amazing for my friend anime draw. Drawing runs in my moms side of my family for years. My moms won a few awards for drawing when she was in high school. I know my sister has the ability, and i believe deep down I do too, just hasn't awaken yet. I'm pretty stubborn when it comes to anime, It's seriously like my life and all my friends know it too. If they asked me what I do over the weekend the main thing i say first is "oh, well i finished another anime" sometimes more then one. :D I just finished watching one yesterday! XD I have 2 life time careers i'm aiming for. but plan to reach one at a time. I have no idea how I'm gonna work writing, child day care, and personal life out all at once but clearly i'm really asking for something with my life, i'm willing to rarely get any sleep as i reach goal. so mainly: do you have to know how to draw to write manga? and i'd rather study in Japan not in USA for this so any way in high school i can make that little easier and possible?

  You don't have to just get your artist! Look up the manga/anime Death Note it has two mangaka right? That is a witness right there! One does art while the other does story, but the thing is according to the interviews, sometimes the original idea of the character is jumbled up, since, like in books, everyone has a different view of how the character looks like from just word description, no matter how descriptive.
