How can I make pop art pictures?

I need to make some of my photos into pop art for my exam, and I need to do it fairly quickly, but I only have Paint Shop Pro 7 http://bighugelabs.com/flickr/warholizer.php I tried this link, but its rubbish and all my photos came out awful, any ideas?

Answer:
Get your pic and look at it to decide which areas contain similar colours. Then create a new layer on which you'll redraw just the parts of the image with that colour. You could even add a pattern fill to that layer. Keep doing this with different parts of the picture. You should only need to do about 5 to 10 layers.

Turn up the contrast, then posterize and choose a smaller number of layers, between 5-7. You can do this in Photoshop and maybe in GIMP
You just turn everything cartoony, but I don't know how to do this on a computer.
